Welcome to the Church of Purple, where those who love Purple Numbers go to pray! This is the Wiki for the growing ecosystem of collaborative tools that attempt to be interoperable in simple, but compelling ways.
The strategy for creating this interoperability is to implement core features of BlueOxen:Doug Engelbart's original hypertext system -- such as granular addressability, transclusions, and backlinks -- in today's software. Our ongoing quest is to identify concrete, incremental ways of evolving tools that may have little impact on their own, but have a huge impact when combined with other tools. This philosophy is outlined in BlueOxen:Eugene Eric Kim's 2004 essay, "A Manifesto for Collaborative Tools."
